Name of Loksabha Constituency: SIVAGANGAI
On October 19, 2020, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan approved 50 new Kendriya Vidyalayas, including Kendriya Vidyalaya RTC ITBP Shivagangai. The school began operations in the Academic Year 2020-21 for classes I to V and has since expanded to class IX in 2024-25. The land for its new building was allocated in 2020 to KV Illuppaikudi by RTC ITBP ILLUPPAIKUDI.

• Construction work of new School building started in the year 2023.
• The construction work is expected to be completed in November 2024.

• Currently Vidyalaya is operating in a temporary building at RTC ITBP Illuppaikudi.
• Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan appointed 10 Permanent staff members in the year 2023-24.
• The school established its Scouts and Guides units in 2024.
• A fully operational RO plant was installed near the school in 2024 by Shri Achal Sharma, the Honorable Chairman, VMC, KV RTC ITBP Illuppaikudi.
• Smart board classes began in 2023-24 Academic Year.
• The school has received approval to start its NCC unit in 2024-25 Academic Year.
